Paxos Virtual Asset Listing and Governance Policies
Paxos ensures a transparent and rigorous process for listing and delisting digital payment tokens (DPTs) on our platform. Our policies are designed to provide customers with the necessary information to make informed decisions and manage risks associated with digital assets.
1. Evaluation of DPTs
Paxos evaluates DPTs based on key criteria, including:
Technical & Security Risk: Ensuring alignment with Paxos' security and operational standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Market & Liquidity Risk: Assessing the DPT’s market dynamics and liquidity.
Reputation & Business Impact: Considering the reputational and business value of the DPT.
Evaluation of DPTs is completed with independent oversight. Paxos may receive fees for providing DPT services. Where fees are received, we provide appropriate disclosures and manage potential conflict of interest risks.
2. Ongoing Monitoring & Re-Evaluation
DPTs undergo ongoing monitoring and periodic re-evaluation to ensure continued alignment with Paxos’standards. Changes in risk profile, market conditions, or regulatory requirements can prompt further review, which may result in suspension or delisting.
3. Delisting and Suspension
Paxos reserves the right to suspend or delist a DPT based on:
Regulatory Requirements: Compliance with legal frameworks.
Increased Risk Profile: Significant deviation from Paxos’ risk appetite.
Market or Operational Considerations: Misalignment with business strategy or customer demand.
4. Delisting Process
If Paxos decides to delist a DPT, we provide:
Customer Notification: Clear communication on timelines for asset withdrawal or liquidation.
Regulatory Notification: Compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
Asset Liquidation: Options for customers to liquidate or transfer assets.
5. Addressing Risks of Unfair or Disorderly Trading
Paxos actively monitors for market manipulation, fraud, and illicit activity, implementing controls to maintain a fair trading environment.
6. Settlement Procedures
Paxos ensures clear and efficient settlement procedures for DPT transactions to minimize errors or disputes.
7. Transparency and Customer Protection
Paxos is committed to transparency, providing customers with clear and accessible information about the risks associated with listed DPTs. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us via https://support.paxos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
