Charles Cascarilla

Charles Cascarilla, CEO and Co-Founder

Charles Cascarilla is the CEO and co-founder of Paxos. With 15+ years of experience in financial services, Charles has a unique perspective and interest in integrating blockchain technology with traditional systems. Since 2005, he has been a partner and co-founder at institutional asset management complex Cedar Hill Capital Partners LLC (and its venture capital subsidiary, Liberty City Ventures LLC, founded in 2012). Earlier in his career, he was a portfolio manager at Claiborne Capital and worked at both Bank of America Securities LLC and Goldman Sachs & Co. He also serves on the board of several charities and private companies including Project ALS and The Centurion Foundation. Charles holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and is a CFA charterholder.

Andrew Chang

Andrew Chang, COO

Andrew Chang is the COO of Paxos. He has over a decade of operational experience at technology companies and startups, and is a partner at seed fund Liberty City Ventures. Before joining Paxos, Andrew served as a Lead Strategic Partner Development Manager at Google, working in business development for display ad products. Prior to that, he was the COO of ConditionOne and an associate at TechStars New York. He also has experience managing delivery at WPP-owned Kantar Video and innovation in research, analytics and digital media at 360i, a digital marketing agency. Andrew earned his MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Operations and Technology Management from Boston College.

Rachel Nelson

Rachel Nelson, Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer

Rachel Nelson is the Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Paxos. Rachel joined Paxos from JPMorgan Chase, where she was an Assistant General Counsel advising on electronic banking and cash clearance and settlement. Earlier in her career, she worked as counsel at Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale and Dorr in New York and as an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell in London.

Rachel received her B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Jason Nabi

Jason Nabi, Global Head of Business Development and Head of EMEA

Jason Nabi is the Global Head of Business Development and Head of EMEA for Paxos. He has over 20 years of business leadership experience at financial and technology firms. Prior to joining Paxos, Jason launched a new business delivering post-trade services at Société Générale and helped the London market establish a focus on blockchain in capital markets post-trade. He has also held leadership roles at Bloomberg, IBM Global Services, BNP Paribas Securities Services and Markit. Jason has qualifications including Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), Chartered Institute for Marketing (CIM) and he has held a number of FCA controlled functions.

Thomas Eagan

Thomas Eagan, EVP and Global Head of Securities Business

Thomas Eagan is EVP and Global Head of the Securities Business at Paxos.  With 20+ years of experience in financial services, Tom has a broad and deep understanding of capital markets products, processes and market infrastructure. Tom joins from JPMorgan, where he was a Managing Director and the accountable executive for the firm's liquidity risk management build-out and then led the Corporate and Investment Bank's strategic investments in market infrastructure solutions. Previously, Tom was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse and a Partner at PwC.  Tom has an MBA from Columbia University and a B.B.A. in Finance and Economics from the University of Cincinnati.

Peter Chae

Peter Chae, EVP and Global Head of Finance and Accounting

Peter Chae is EVP Global Head of Finance and Accounting at Paxos.  Peter brings over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry.  Prior to joining Paxos,  Peter held several finance leadership roles at JPMorgan across various businesses including Commodities, Fixed Income Financing, Clearing and Prime Finance.  Earlier in his career, Peter worked at Citigroup and C.E. Unterberg Towbin.  Peter holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from Syracuse University.

Steve Wager

Steve Wager, EVP of Bankchain Product Solutions

Steve Wager is the EVP of Bankchain Product Solutions for Paxos. Steve has over 20 years of experience in securities services with roles in custody, product, sales, operations and client services. He has also managed businesses in the US, Germany, UK and Canada. Prior to joining Paxos, Steve was a Custody Product Head for Citibank's Markets and Securities Services franchise, overseeing the Bank's global and direct Custody platforms in both the United States and Canada. He is a leader in both financial services innovation and business development and is focused on helping Paxos develop sustainable bitcoin 2.0 initiatives. Steve received his B.A. in business administration from SUNY Albany and earned his MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business.

Rajesh Nair

Rajesh Nair, VP of Engineering

Rajesh Nair is VP of Engineering at Paxos. He has over 15 years of experience working at both financial services and silicon valley technology companies. Prior to joining Paxos, Raj was Chief Architect on the trading system and enterprise data hub at BlackRock. He has an extensive background in large scale platform engineering and a passion for building distributed systems. Raj earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from College Of Engineering Pune, India.

Ed Giorgio is the CEO and Co-founder of Ponte Technologies, a cybersecurity company. Previously, Ed spent thirty years with the NSA, designing the agency’s first public key based email encryption system and serving as Chief US codemaker & Chief US codebreaker – the only person in the agency history to have held both positions.
